Thanks to a grant from the Danish Villum Foundation in the amount of 1.3 million euros, we can spread Open Future programme to all corners of Slovakia. Support from the Danish foundation also means a chance to connect even more with local companies and start-ups and thus inspire the younger generation. In the long term, six more are to be added to the two existing Open Future centres in Trnava and Zvolen.<\/h2>\n

In addition to entrepreneurship development<\/span> <\/span> or other soft skills, programme team leader Lucia Gregorov\u00e1 also highlighted other positive impacts of this social innovation. The coordinators at Open Future centres speak directly about the importance of strengthening relationships, which was particularly evident in the time after the pandemic subsided. <\/span><\/span>\u201eAfter the children were isolated for a long time, <\/span><\/span>it is important to build these safe places<\/span><\/span>and<\/span><\/span><\/span> mutual friendships, so that even children can support each other in coping with difficult situations. The topic of mental health also proves to be extremely important in our programme, and we pay attention to it in addition to the content curriculum,” <\/span><\/span><\/em>says Lucia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Villum Foundation supports modern education<\/span><\/b>e<\/span><\/b> here and in the Czech Republic<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Danish Foundation <\/span>Villum<\/span> Foundation<\/span> chose <\/span><\/span>overall <\/span><\/span><\/span>nine educational programs in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, between which it decided to redistribute over 13 million euros.<\/span><\/span> “The shift towards digital and green solutions requires European youth to acquire skills that will enable them to navigate new technologies in everyday life and at work. Young people must transform their knowledge and skills into intelligent solutions for a greener and more sustainable society,”<\/span><\/span> says\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Agi<\/span> C<\/span>s<\/span>onka<\/span>, prog<\/span>ramme director at <\/span>Villum<\/span> Foundation<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
